This week’s winner is:

Steele Isaacs, Sumner football

Isaacs scored the game-winning touchdown in triple overtime of Saturday’s 4A semifinals to lift Sumner over Chiawana, 37-31, and into this weekend’s championship game. He took 32 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

Ryan Avary, Rogers boys basketball — Senior forward scored 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field in loss to Mountain View.

Carter Cocke, Sumner football — Spartans TE tallied seven receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown in Sumner’s 37-31 triple-overtime win over Chiawana in the 4A semifinals, adding a two-point conversion catch.

Elijah Gillespie, Graham-Kapowsin boys basketball — Junior had 17 points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in loss to Union.

Steele Isaacs, Sumner football — Bellcow RB took 32 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in triple overtime of Saturday’s 4A state semifinal win over Chiawana, 37-31.

Reggie Lester, Annie Wright boys basketball — The senior point guard’s team-high 15 points lifted the 1A-Gators over 3A-Rainier Beach for a statement win in the season opener, 64-60.

Sunny Nguyen, Tumwater football — Rushed two times for 76 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for a 60-yard touchdown in 42-0 win over Archbishop Murphy in 2A state tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Cash Short, Tumwater football — Took 13 carries for 61 yards and three touchdowns in 42-0 win over Archbishop Murphy in 2A state tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Derek Thompson, Tumwater football — Had nine tackles, including a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery in 42-0 win over Archbishop Murphy in 2A state tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Beckett Wall, Tumwater football — Racked up nine tackles, including five tackles for loss and batted down a pass in 42-0 win over Archbishop Murphy in 2A state tournament semifinals on Saturday.
