TNT ANALYSIS
MANLEY GOES BACK-TO-BACK
Another year, another title. I figured Life Christian QB Jabez Boyd, my No. 1 overall pick, would put up big numbers for the Eagles in the 1A ranks this season. Kennedy Catholic RB Indiana Jones was the major difference maker, though. He was featured prominently in the Lancers’ offense, and his versatility as a runner and pass catcher made him a valuable fantasy football asset. Tough luck for Tyler with injuries, namely to Decatur star RB Nehemiah Washington, who missed most of the season. I watched him play in Decatur’s state tournament opening round game against Mount Tahoma, and he’s as tough a back as they come. I’m excited to defend the title again — mark me down for a three-peat with a sharpie. — Manley
LEE TOPS SOUTH SOUND IN FANTASY POINTS
Kentwood running back Antoine Lee was this year’s South Sound Fantasy MVP, the area’s leader with 437.7 points in our PPR format. The Central Washington commit and TNT All-Area selection ran wild for 2,100 rushing yards and 30 total touchdowns — capped by Lee’s Week 10 eruption for 344 rushing yards and five touchdowns at Gig Harbor.
The South Sound’s top single-season performances for Team Manley and Team Wicke include:
Kentwood RB Antoine Lee: 437.7 points
Kennedy Catholic RB Indiana Jones: 419.2 points
Life Christian QB Jabez Boyd: 351.22 points
Sumner RB Steele Isaacs: 265.1 points
Curtis WR Parker Mady: 264.4 points
IN HINDSIGHT
Auburn WR Lucas Whitehall-Gilkes posted historic numbers in 2024, the 4A NPSL’s new all-time single-season leader in receptions (101) and receiving yards (1,527) with 12 touchdowns. His 325.7 fantasy points paced all South Sound receivers and ranked fourth among all positions … and we left him on the board. What could have been a league winner.
More fantasy snubs we’re kicking ourselves for: Franklin Pierce RB Bryson Allen grabbed 2A SPSL MVP honors and exploded for 313.1 fantasy points, which ranked third among South Sound running backs. Stadium RB Darius Sum put the Tigers offense on his back with 287.7 points this season, fourth-best at the position.
