Winner of The News Tribune’s Girls Athlete of the Week (Jan. 27 to Feb. 1)

This week’s winner is:

Olivia Collins, Sumner basketball

The junior guard dropped a game-high 23 points in Thursday’s road win over Emerald Ridge, 60-50, to clinch the No. 1 seed in the 4A SPSL tournament.

Bailey Andersen, Eatonville basketball — Dropped 25+ points in all three Eatonville wins last week, including a 28/8/8 line over Steilacoom and 26-point, 11-assist double-double in Friday’s win over Franklin Pierce.

Kawehi Borden, Sumner basketball — Sophomore guard dropped 21 points (4 3PM) in Thursday’s road win at Emerald Ridge, 60-50.

Olivia Collins, Sumner basketball — Junior guard dropped game-high 23 points in Thursday’s road win over Emerald Ridge, 60-50, to clinch the No. 1 seed in the 4A SPSL tournament.

Kyla Frazier, Bellarmine Prep basketball — Sophomore forward had 22-point, 11-rebound double-double with two steals in Wednesday’s 75-15 win over Mount Tahoma.

Abby Mesler, Sound Christian basketball — Junior guard dropped 24 points with eight steals and two rebounds in Thursday’s win over Puget Sound Adventist.

Raelyn Ofrancia, Kentridge basketball — Sophomore guard had 23 points and a steal in loss to Tahoma, then scored 17 points with two rebounds in 49-44 in over Auburn Riverside.

Soraya Ogaldez, North Thurston basketball — Senior guard scored 28 points with six assists in win over Capital, then dropped 30 points with five assists and five rebounds in 76-36 win over Lakes.

Samara Oliver, Lakes basketball — Senior guard had 24-point, 13-rebound double-double with five assists and four steals in Monday’s win over Timberline.

Grace Richardson, Peninsula basketball — Senior guard posted double-double (11 PTS, 10 REB) in loss to River Ridge, had 21 points and seven rebounds in win over Timberline, then tallied 29-12-2 line in win over Lakes.

Jeralynn Sevaaetasi, Decatur basketball — Senior had 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in loss to White River.

Brandi Stanford, River Ridge basketball — Junior point guard posted 26-point, 11-assist double-double in Wednesday’s win over Capital, then had 22 points with five assists and four steals in Friday’s loss to North Thurston.

Tyler Venable, Black Hills basketball — Sophomore dropped 22 points with six rebounds in 68-28 win over Tenino, then scored 17 points with three assists and two steals in rivalry win over Tumwater, 57-36.
