Payton Walling homered twice, and Rogers outlasted Emerald Ridge in Wednesday’s slugfest to remain undefeated in 4A SPSL competition.

Rogers starter Sierra Murray escaped a seventh-inning jam and induced a game-ending popout with Emerald Ridge’s winning runs aboard. The freshman threw her 11th complete game in just her 14th career high-school start, scattering 10 hits and five walks (five earned runs) with 14 strikeouts.
The Rams (14-1, 13-0) extend their win streak to 13 games and conclude the regular season with Curtis (April 25), Sumner (April 29), and at Sumner (May 1).
