Winner of The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week (Oct. 6 to 11)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week for contests played between Oct. 6-11. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Tevita Aholelei, Franklin Pierce football

The senior defensive tackle had seven tackles, two sacks, a quarterback hurry, and 3.5 tackles for loss in Thursday’s 53-6 win over Steilacoom.

Tevita Aholelei, Franklin Pierce football — Senior defensive tackle had seven tackles, two sacks, a quarterback hurry, and 3.5 tackles for loss in Thursday’s 53-6 win over Steilacoom.

Bryson Allen, Franklin Pierce football — The state’s leading rusher (1,215 YDS) tallied 100+ yards for a sixth-consecutive game, taking 16 carries for 197 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday’s 53-6 win over Steilacoom.

Landon Anchors, Tumwater football — Had seven tackles, two tackles for loss and an interception returned for a touchdown in win over Black Hills.

Briytan Bailey, Puyallup football — Vikings RB took seven carries for a team-high 113 yards and a touchdown in Thursday’s 60-0 win over South Kitsap.

Tristan Baker, Lakes football — Lancers WR had four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown, adding three carries for 44 yards and another score in Friday’s 48-7 win over Peninsula.

Kase Betz, Graham-Kapowsin football — Junior WR/FS caught a 57-yard touchdown and snagged an interception on defense in Friday’s 20-10 win over Bethel.

Brady Bonnell, Tahoma football — Bears QB totaled six touchdowns in Friday’s 50-14 win over Auburn. Bonnell completed 17-of-26 passes for 267 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, adding 11 carries for 153 yards and two scores on the ground.

Jaiden Brokens, Charles Wright football — Junior WR/DB had eight receptions for 170 yards and five touchdowns on offense and on defense, had 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and an interception in 54-14 win over Concrete. Also had a 50-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Averie Cabral, Tahoma football — Bears RB had six catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns, two carries for nine yards, and completed 1-of-2 pass attempts for 10 yards in Friday’s 50-14 win over Auburn.

Braydon Cook, Olympia football — Junior DL tallied four sacks in Friday’s 22-10 win over Spanaway Lake.

Mikkah Cordero, Mount Tahoma football — T-Birds QB completed 12-of-22 passes for 142 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, adding a seven-yard touchdown run in Friday’s 35-13 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Elijah Durr, Mount Tahoma football — T-Birds WR/DB had three catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns, adding five tackles and an interception on defense in Friday’s 35-13 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Keshawn Hines, Mount Tahoma football — Senior RB took 10 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown in Friday’s 35-13 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Chase Johnson, Kentridge football — Chargers TE had four catches for 52 yards and a touchdown in Friday’s 53-11 loss to Stadium.

Tyce Kinley, Curtis football — Vikings RB/LB scored three touchdowns in Thursday’s 46-13 win over Emerald Ridge, taking 15 carries for 171 yards and two scores. Kinley returned an interception 54 yards for a pick-six and punched in the two-point conversion for an “Octopus” — when a player delivers all eight points on a scoring drive.

Kage Kuro, Enumclaw football — Hornets WR had three catches for 30 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s 56-13 win over Kent-Meridian.

Jadis LeFono, Lakes football — Freshman QB totaled four touchdowns in Friday’s 48-7 win over Peninsula. LeFono completed 15-of-18 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns, adding four carries for 47 yards and two scores on the ground.

Anthony Lomiga, Franklin Pierce football — Cardinals senior had eight carries for 103 yards and a touchdown with one catch for five yards, adding a tackle and pass deflection on defense in Thursday’s 53-6 win over Steilacoom.

Anthony Mancao, Lincoln football — Senior defensive tackle tallied 11 tackles, four sacks, seven quarterback hurries (three for a loss) and a forced fumble in Friday’s 47-14 win over city-rival Silas.

Israel Nabors, Sumner football — Spartans RB had eight carries for 135 yards (16.9 YPC) and two touchdowns in Friday’s 50-0 win over Rogers.

Jeremiah Orcutt, Franklin Pierce football — Cardinals QB/FS completed 2-of-2 passes for 22 yards and a touchdown, took four carries for 49 yards and two scores, and forced a fumble on defense in Thursday’s 53-6 win over Steilacoom.

Paxton Patterson, Enumclaw football — Hornets RB took six carries for 126 yards (21 YPC) and a touchdown in Friday’s 56-13 win over Kent-Meridian.

Raider Pula, Stadium football — Tigers RB/LB had four carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns in Friday’s 53-11 win over Kentridge.

Slavik Shemedyuk, Fife football — Trojans WR had three carries for 102 yards and three touchdowns, adding a 23-yard catch in Friday’s 48-20 win over Eatonville.

Noah Smith, Puyallup football — Vikings QB threw five touchdown passes in Thursday’s 60-0 win over South Kitsap, completing 14-of-19 passes for 255 yards, five scores, and an interception. Smith added two carries for 17 yards.

Kooper Tasler, Stadium football — Tigers QB completed 10-of-13 passes for 237 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions (one fumble) in Friday’s 53-11 win over Kentridge.

Gavin Trachte, Enumclaw football — Hornets QB completed 14-of-18 passes for 181 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, adding two carries for four yards in Friday’s 56-13 win over Kent-Meridian.

Naesirhc White, Mount Tahoma football — Senior RB took 14 carries for a game-high 170 rushing yards and a touchdown in Friday’s 35-13 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Jayden Woodland, Puyallup football — Vikings WR had four catches for 50 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday’s 60-0 win over South Kitsap.
