Winner of The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week (Feb. 9 to 14)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week for contests played between Feb. 9-14. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Lawson Looker, Puyallup basketball

The senior guard had 13 assists, seven steals, and a charge taken to lift the Vikings over Kennedy Catholic in Friday’s district playoff opener.

Payton Brown, Muckleshoot Tribal basketball — Junior guard had 18 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists in Wednesday’s win over Summit Classical Christian.

Hakeen Collins, Franklin Pierce basketball — Senior wing grabbed a career-high 25 rebounds with 18 points and five assists in Monday’s win over Washington, then posted an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double in Saturday’s playoff win over Olympic.

Dominique Harper, River Ridge basketball — Senior forward had 12 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal in Saturday’s district playoff win over Federal Way.

Miles Henry, Auburn basketball — Senior guard scored 20 points in Thursday’s district playoff win over Spanaway Lake.

Aiquari Emmanuel Johnson, Franklin Pierce basketball — Senior guard had 17 points and six rebounds in Monday’s win over Washington, then dropped 24 points with four rebounds in Saturday’s district playoff win over Olympic.

Leroy Kinnay, Auburn basketball — Junior guard co-led the Trojans with 20 points in Thursday’s district playoff win over Spanaway Lake.

Hudson Lindsay, Concordia Christian Academy basketball — Senior guard posted consecutive triple-doubles in Wednesday’s win over Evergreen Lutheran (21 PTS, 12 REB, 10 AST) and Saturday’s win over Shoreline Christian (22 PTS, 13 REB, 11 AST).

Lawson Looker, Puyallup basketball — Senior guard had 13 assists, seven steals, and a charge taken to lift the Vikings over Kennedy Catholic in Friday’s district playoff opener.

Will Nasinec, Puyallup basketball — Senior wing dropped team-high 18 points in Friday’s district playoff win over Kennedy Catholic.

Ryzen Nunez, River Ridge basketball — Junior forward had 12 points, nine rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocks in Saturday’s district playoff win over Federal Way.

Marshall Scott, Clover Park basketball — Senior guard posted his seventh-straight double-double (27 PTS, 11 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL, 2 BLK) in Monday’s win over Eatonville.
