Day 2: Top performers from 3A, 4A boys basketball tournaments at Tacoma Dome

Day 2 (quarterfinals) of the 3A and 4A high school boys basketball state tournaments on Thursday at the Tacoma Dome is in the books. Here are the results and five players from each session who stood out.

No. 7 Lincoln 77, No. 8 Bellevue 57

FAB FIVE

Ronnie Wiggins, Bellarmine Prep — Guard was Lions’ spark plug early, scoring a game-high 18 points with nine rebounds, two assists, a blocked shot and three steals.

Tyran Stokes, Rainier Beach — Nation’s No. 1 ranked high school player got going in the second half of Beach’s win over O’Dea. Posted a triple-double with 24 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, a blocked shot and a steal.

JJ Crawford, Rainier Beach — Sparked Rainier Beach’s dominant second half, tallying 18 points and making 4-of-6 of his 3-point attempts. Also had three rebounds and three assists.

O’Shea Lamar, Lincoln — When this guard gets on a hot streak, watch out. He scored a game-high 17 points and shot 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. Also had six assists.

Jalan Lillie, Lincoln — Scored 16 points and made a pair of 3-pointers in win over Bellevue.

QUOTABLE

Bellarmine Prep’s Ronnie Wiggins on hometown crowd support: “It gives us crazy energy, knowing that the whole school’s got your back,” Wiggins said. “That makes us want to win it all. I appreciate them for showing up.”

No. 7 Emerald Ridge 67, No. 1 Mount Si 62

No. 2 Richland 76, No. 8 West Valley of Yakima 62

FAB FIVE

Dylynn Groves, Gonzaga Prep — The game’s top scorer was also the hero, delivering a contested game-winning layup in double overtime to lift the Bullpups over Puyallup. Scored a game-high 19 points with three rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal.

Ellis Mosley, Emerald Ridge — Feels like it’s a different player’s turn every night for Emerald Ridge. It was Mosley’s turn this time around — he scored a team-high 19 points with two rebounds, two assists a steal.

Latt Ford, Mount Si — Athletic forward made his presence felt in the loss to Emerald Ridge, posting a double-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.

Jayden Hunt, Lake Washington — Scored a team-high 16 points and connected on 3-of-7 from beyond the arc with four rebounds, an assist and a steal in win over Glacier Peak.

Landen Northrop, Richland — Think this Bombers’ guard is ready for a run at the 4A title? Scored 33 points with seven rebounds, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal in win over West Valley.
