Vote now for The News Tribune’s Baseball Athlete of the Week for contests played between April 13-18. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

Zach Albright, North Thurston — Senior right-hander threw six strong innings in Friday’s 6-2 win over Enumclaw, allowing four hits and two earned runs with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Levi Baca, Kentridge — Third baseman belted a grand slam in Thursday’s 14-13 win over Stadium, finishing 2-for-5 with six RBI.

Cade Bellerive, Emerald Ridge — Senior right-hander tossed a complete-game shutout in Friday’s 5-0 win over Bethel, allowing two hits with two walks and two strikeouts across seven strong frames.

Lucas Brazier, White River — Senior first baseman delivered a walk-off single to beat Auburn Mountainview, 9-8, on Monday. Brazier went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI.

Neal Burtis, Tahoma — Senior left-hander homered at the plate (1-for-2, 3 R, BB) and tossed two scoreless innings (0 H, 1 BB, 4 K) in Saturday’s 12-1 win over Kentwood.

Talon Coker, Tahoma — Junior right-hander threw five scoreless frames in Thursday’s win over Kentwood, allowing three hits and one walk with seven strikeouts.

Jackson Dion, Emerald Ridge — Junior right-hander threw 6 ⅔ shutout frames in Thursday’s 3-0 win over South Kitsap, allowing four hits with one walk and nine strikeouts.

Mattson Ducharme, Fife — Senior notched a complete game in Thursday’s 2-1 win over Franklin Pierce, allowing five hits and one run (none earned) with two walks and seven strikeouts. Ducharme singled and walked (1-for-3, BB) at the plate.

Sean Evans, Tahoma — Senior right-hander notched a season-high 10 strikeouts in Friday’s 6-2 win over Mercer Island, allowing two hits and two walks with two earned runs across 6 ⅔ strong innings.

Jack Fenton, Mount Rainier — Senior right-hander threw six strong innings in Wednesday’s 4-1 win over Auburn, allowing two hits and one run (none earned) with four walks and seven strikeouts. In Thursday’s win over the Trojans, Fenton went 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, four runs, and four RBI.

Manny Harris, Kentridge — Left fielder went 4-for-5 with two runs and three RBI in Thursday’s win over Stadium.

Kolton Jensen, White River — Junior left-hander homered at the plate and threw 4 ⅓ strong innings in Monday’s 9-8 win over Auburn Mountainview, allowing one hit and three runs (one earned) with three walks and eight strikeouts. Jensen finished 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI.

Travis Kunkel, Olympia — Senior right-hander threw five scoreless innings in Friday’s 1-0 win over Puyallup, allowing three hits with two walks and six strikeouts.

Matthew Ledbetter, Kentlake — Senior right-hander threw a five-inning shutout in Monday’s win over Federal Way, allowing three hits with two walks and six strikeouts.

Garrett Liedes, Graham-Kapowsin — Senior right-hander threw six scoreless innings in Thursday’s 4-0 win over Bonney Lake, allowing two hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Liedes doubled and walked at the plate (1-for-2, RBI).

Thomas Marzano, Peninsula — First baseman went 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBI in Monday’s win over Lakes.

Christopher Moore, Kentlake — Senior shortstop launched a grand slam in Monday’s 10-0 win over Federal Way, going 3-for-3 with a walk and four RBI.

Lincoln Moore, Kentlake — Leadoff third baseman tallied four doubles in Thursday’s win over Federal Way, going 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBI.

Kaeden Morgan, Auburn Riverside — Senior left-hander threw five strong innings in Wednesday’s 5-1 win over Kennedy Catholic, surrendering four hits and one run (none earned) with four walks and two strikeouts.

Owen Osso, Yelm — Freshman third baseman went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI in Wednesday’s win over Spanaway Lake.

Luke Overbay, Tumwater — Junior belted a grand slam at the plate and earned the save on the mound (0.1 IP, 1 H, 1 K) in Wednesday’s 9-8 win over Aberdeen, going 2-for-4 with a homer and five RBI.

Madden Pike, Puyallup — Leadoff designated hitter went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI in Thursday’s win over Curtis.

Wyatt Plyler, Sumner — Junior right-hander threw four no-hit innings, part of a combined no-hitter with lefty Austin Gailushas. Plyler walked two with 11 strikeouts, adding a single and two walks (1-for-2, RBI) at the plate.

Willie Ross, Lincoln — Junior right-hander struck out a season-high 16 batters in Friday’s win over Foss, allowing one unearned run (3 H, 2 BB) across 6 ⅓ frames.

Ethan Shaefer, North Thurston — Senior right-hander threw five strong innings in Monday’s win over River Ridge, allowing three hits and one run (none earned) with one walk and five strikeouts. At the plate, went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases. In Wednesday’s win over the Hawks, Shaefer went 3-for-4 with a walk, RBI, and two doubles at the plate. On Friday against Enumclaw, went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Elijah Simpson, Black Hills — Senior pitched a complete game at Shelton on Friday, giving up four hits and one earned run, striking out four with two walks on 72 pitches.

Daniel Sleeter, Gig Harbor — Sophomore right-hander threw a five-inning no-hitter in Wednesday’s win over Mount Tahoma, walking two with a dozen strikeouts. Sleeter went 1-for-2 with two walks and two RBI at the plate.

Brayden Vartanian, Central Kitsap — First baseman went 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBI in Tuesday’s 14-2 win over Lincoln.

Parker Workman, Auburn Riverside — Sophomore right-hander threw 6 ⅔ no-hit innings in Thursday’s 2-0 win over Kennedy Catholic, walking two with seven strikeouts.
