Vote now for The News Tribune’s Softball Athlete of the Week for contests played between April 13-18. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

The poll is located below. You can read about all of the candidates and their accomplishments below.

Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Sunday.

Molly Burt, Thomas Jefferson — Right fielder stole home to beat Kennedy Catholic on Friday, 8-7, and belted a go-ahead grand slam in the first inning. Burt went 1-for-4 with a homer, walk, two runs and four RBI.

Lilah Chapman, Eatonville — Leadoff catcher went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Thursday’s win over Clover Park.

Kate Erickson, Stadium — Leadoff center fielder went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Monday’s win over Klahowya.

Norah Fenton, Orting — Senior catcher hit an inside-the-park home run in Thursday’s win over Washington, going 2-for-3 with a homer, double, walk and five RBI. Fenton added two hits and two RBI in Friday’s win over Franklin Pierce.

Mallory Geving, Fife — Senior threw five strong innings (2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K) and went 1-for-3 with a triple at the plate in Wednesday’s 11-1 win over Franklin Pierce.

Hi’ilei Gomes, Kentlake — Third baseman went 3-for-3 with a double, two walks, three runs, and four RBI in Wednesday’s 19-11 win over Federal Way. Gomes homered in Thursday’s win over Decatur with three walks and three RBI.

Nevaeh Haagen, Timberline — Junior right-hander homered at the plate (1-for-2, HR, BB) and struck out 14 across a complete game (3 ER) in Friday’s 5-4 win over Central Kitsap.

Addison Hansen, Emerald Ridge — Freshman threw five shutout innings in Thursday’s win over Spanaway Lake, allowing two hits with four walks and eight strikeouts.

Lily Hart, Stadium — Senior 1B/P threw a pair of scoreless relief innings (1 H) and went 2-for-3 with a triple at the plate in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Olympic.

Karlie Hegg, Mount Tahoma — Went 3-for-5 and nearly hit for the cycle with a home run, a triple and a single and three RBI in win over Lakes.

Lila Heigh, Auburn Mountainview — Center fielder went 4-for-4 with a triple, four runs and two RBI in Wednesday’s win over Kent-Meridian.

Jaycee Kemp, Puyallup — In games against Auburn Mountainview, Olympia and Sumner, went 3-0 with 17 innings pitched, giving up five hits, no earned runs and recording 33 strikeouts.

London Kim, Stadium — Senior catcher homered twice in Monday’s 8-2 win over Klahowya, going 2-for-2 with two walks and three RBI. Kim added two hits with a triple (2-for-4, RBI) in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Olympic.

Riley Linnane, Kentlake — Sophomore threw a five-inning shutout in Tuesday’s 10-0 win over Thomas Jefferson, allowing one hit with no walks and nine strikeouts. Linnane added a single and a walk at the plate (1-for-3, BB, RBI).

Lola McKeone, Capital — Leadoff catcher went 4-for-5 with two triples, two doubles, and four RBI in Monday’s 13-3 win over Lincoln.

Sierra Murray, Rogers — Sophomore threw a complete-game one-hitter in Thursday’s win over Yelm, walking two with 11 strikeouts across five frames. Murray went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI at the plate.

Brooklyn Pettit, Graham-Kapowsin — Sophomore right-hander threw four no-hit innings (1 BB, 11 K) and homered at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two walks, three runs, and two RBI in Thursday’s win over Curtis.

Hannah Potter, Auburn Riverside — In wins over Kennedy Catholic and Kentwood, the senior catcher went a combined 3-for-6 with a home run, double, three walks, four runs, and four RBI.

Alexa Ramirez, Tahoma — Junior threw a complete-game shutout in Thursday’s 4-0 win over Stadium, allowing seven hits with no walks and 14 strikeouts. Ramirez added two hits (2-for-3, RBI) at the plate.

Emma Reupena, Mount Tahoma — Went 4-for-4 with a home run, three singles and three RBI in win over Lakes.

Kayla Ringenbach, Puyallup — Second baseman went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs and four RBI in Monday’s 13-6 win over Auburn Mountainview. Ringenbach added a solo home run in Friday’s win over Sumner. In three games against Auburn Mountainview, Olympia and Sumner, she hit .625 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI.

Harper Runn, Steilacoom — Sophomore catcher homered in Friday’s 15-4 win over Capital, going 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.

Josslyn Sorensen, Sumner — Senior right-hander threw three scoreless frames (1 H, 0 BB, 7 K) and went 2-for-3 with a double at the plate in Thursday’s 19-9 win over Bethel.

Vivien Sweet, Peninsula — Junior P/OF threw three shutout relief innings (1 H, 2 BB, 4 K) and homered at the plate (1-for-3, 4 RBI) in Wednesday’s 10-0 win over Silas.

Jozi Thompson, Kentridge — Junior struck out all 16 batters faced across a five-inning no-hitter in Thursday’s win over Auburn.

Syriahs Trolson, North Thurston — Sophomore threw five strong innings (1 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 5 BB, 8 K) and went 2-for-5 with three runs and four RBI at the plate in Monday’s win over Silas.

Naleiah Verdadero, Mount Tahoma — Went 1-for-1 with an RBI single and tossed four strikeouts in win over Lakes.

Janelle Way, Bethel — Freshman catcher homered in Friday’s 20-4 win over Federal Way, going 2-for-3 with a walk and five RBI.
