Vote now for The News Tribune’s Softball Athlete of the Week for contests played between May 4-9. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

Lucy Allen, Eatonville — Sophomore left fielder homered in Friday’s 15-13 win over Orting, going 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs and five RBI.

Jesabella Arceo, Thomas Jefferson — Leadoff shortstop went 4-for-4 with a home run, two triples, and a double (3 R, 4 RBI) in Monday’s win over Kent-Meridian.

Raylie Birklid, River Ridge — Junior threw a complete-game shutout (5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 K) and went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBI at the plate in Tuesday’s win over Lakes.

Sarah Cody, Gig Harbor — Freshman right fielder drove in seven runs in Tuesday’s win over Mount Tahoma, going 2-for-2 with a home run, triple, three runs and two walks.

Laken Elvig, White River — Sophomore threw a pair of shutout innings (0 H, 0 BB, 5 K), part of a combined no-hitter with Alexis Smith, and went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, four runs and three RBI in Monday’s 22-0 win over Todd Beamer. On Wednesday, Elvig hit a three-run homer and threw a complete game (7 IP, 1 ER) with three walks and 10 strikeouts in a 7-1 win over Kentlake.

Sara Estudillo, Bellarmine Prep — The sophomore’s walk-off single in the seventh inning lifted the Lions over Gig Harbor, 8-7, on Wednesday. Estudillo finished 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Ellie Figgins, Decatur — Leadoff catcher hit three doubles (4-for-5, BB) in Monday’s 16-8 win over Federal Way.

Aubrey Gidley, Steilacoom — Freshman P/3B went 6-for-7 with a triple, two doubles, five runs and six RBI in Tuesday’s win over Clover Park. Gidley threw a complete game (7 IP, 2 R, 0 ER) with 13 strikeouts in Monday’s win over Eatonville, then threw a combined no-hitter (4 IP, 0 H, 11 K) with Allison Roach in Thursday’s win over Washington.

Jayda Guadron, Emerald Ridge — Senior catcher hit a solo home run and cleared the bases with a three-run double (2-for-4, 4 RBI) in Tuesday’s win over Bethel, lifting the Jaguars into the district tournament.

Mia Hammington, Tahoma — In four wins last week, the senior outfielder went a combined 11-for-17 with a home run, triple, two doubles and four RBI.

Brooklyn Harrison, Gig Harbor — Third baseman homered and doubled in Tuesday’s win over Mount Tahoma, going 3-for-3 with a walk, three runs and two RBI.

Lila Heigh, Auburn Mountainview — Center fielder homered and tripled (3-for-4) with three runs and two RBI in Monday’s 15-4 win over Enumclaw. Heigh added three hits (two doubles) and two RBI in Wednesday’s win over Decatur.

Ariana Linder, Central Kitsap — Senior threw a complete-game shutout (5 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 9 K) and went 2-for-3 with a double at the plate in Wednesday’s win over Lincoln. Linder added two hits and three walks in Saturday’s 3A PSL championship win over Timberline.

Amelie Malinis, Timberline — Sophomore right fielder went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and five RBI in Monday’s win over Lakes.

Natalie Medalia, Silas — Senior hit two home runs and went 3-for-3 with three runs and five RBI in Saturday’s 9-6 win over Mount Tahoma.

Delaney Merritt, Thomas Jefferson — Junior threw five strong innings (3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8 K) and went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, and three RBI at the plate in Monday’s win over Kent-Meridian. Merritt added three hits (double, triple) in Wednesday’s win over Todd Beamer.

Izzy Michaels, Peninsula — Sophomore first baseman went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in Monday’s 7-1 win over River Ridge.

Bailey Mounts, Yelm — Freshman catcher went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs in Monday’s win over South Kitsap, adding two hits and a double in Tuesday’s 4A SPSL tournament win over Sumner.

Sierra Murray, Rogers — Sophomore threw a complete-game shutout (7 IP, 1 H, 0 R) with no walks and 14 strikeouts in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Puyallup.

Savvy Paulson, Central Kitsap — Senior tossed a no-hitter in Monday’s win over Silas, walking two with nine strikeouts across five strong innings. Paulson homered at the plate and went 2-for-5 with three RBI, adding four hits (two triples) in Wednesday’s win over Lincoln.

Josie Pendergrass, Stadium — Freshman struck out 10 across seven strong innings (3 H, 2 R, 2 ER) in Monday’s 13-2 win over North Kitsap.

Brooklyn Pettit, Graham-Kapowsin — Sophomore guided the Eagles to the 4A SPSL title with tournament wins over Bonney Lake and Rogers, tossing 15 combined innings (1 ER) with two walks and 30 strikeouts. Pettit went 5-for-7 with two home runs at the plate in that span.

Hannah Potter, Auburn Riverside — In four wins last week, the senior catcher hit two home runs and went a combined 8-for-14 with five RBI.

Sydney Potvin, Olympia — Junior catcher homered in Tuesday’s 8-3 win over South Kitsap that clinched a district tournament berth. Potvin went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and two RBI.

Alexa Ramirez, Tahoma — In three wins (20 IP) last week, the junior walked three and struck out 37 with two shutouts and four total earned runs.

Teresa Rehberger, Bellarmine Prep — Sophomore second baseman went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four runs in Monday’s win over Lincoln.

Sosephina Sailiai, Federal Way — Leadoff shortstop homered and tripled in Wednesday’s win over Kent-Meridian, going 2-for-3 with a walk, RBI, and four runs scored.

Kiley Sledge, Franklin Pierce — In wins over Washington and Orting, the junior went a combined 6-for-7 with a home run, two doubles, six walks and four RBI.

Elizabeth Sloppy, Capital — Senior third baseman hit a grand slam (1-for-5, 4 RBI) in Wednesday’s 17-11 win over Lakes.

Khloe Smith, Orting — Freshman third baseman homered in Tuesday’s win over Eatonville, going 3-for-5 with a walk, four runs and four RBI.

Kaylie Stacy, Central Kitsap — Sophomore center fielder went 3-for-3 with a double, two triples and six RBI in Monday’s win over Silas.

Sarah Stevens, Tumwater — Junior threw 5.1 scoreless innings (4 H, 2 BB, 11 K) and went 2-for-3 at the plate in Friday’s 9-2 win over Shelton.

Tessa Trippy, Auburn Mountainview — Sophomore shortstop hit four doubles (5-for-5, 5 RBI) in Wednesday’s win over Decatur. Trippy added a bases-clearing triple and four RBI in Monday’s win over Enumclaw.

Saihdee Trolson, North Thurston — Junior center fielder hit four doubles in Monday’s win over Capital, going 4-for-4 with a walk, five runs and four RBI.

Makayla Young, Graham-Kapowsin — The left fielder’s walk-off single in the eighth inning lifted the Eagles over Bonney Lake, 4-3, on Tuesday.
