Vote now for The News Tribune’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week for contests played between May 4-9. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

The poll is located below. You can read about all of the candidates and their accomplishments below.

Court Atkin, Puyallup boys — Won the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes 9.79 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

La’vaya Battle, Stadium girls — Sophomore won the long jump (16-7) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

PJ Beattie, Puyallup boys — Won the 3,200 meters with a personal best time of 11 minutes, 13.41 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Oliver Buchanan, Silas boys — Junior won the 100-meter dash with a new personal best (11.02 seconds) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Anya DeBoer, Rogers girls — Won the 200 meters with a time of 26.82 seconds and the 400 meters (1:00.29) at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Atzel Chavez Avelar, Gig Harbor boys — Senior won the 200-meter dash with a new personal best (22.62 seconds) at Friday’s meet with Bellarmine Prep.

Jessie Coale, Stadium girls — Sophomore won the 1,600-meter run (5:52.88) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Luke Egan, Rogers boys — Won the 1,600 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 51.21 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Jack Greer, Gig Harbor boys — Junior won the 1,600-meter run (4:26.63) at Friday’s meet with Bellarmine Prep, Peninsula, and Central Kitsap.

Xavier Harris, Mount Tahoma boys — Junior won the long jump with a new personal best (19-7.75) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Ava Harrison, Bellarmine Prep girls — Senior won the 1,600-meter run with a new personal best (5:35.54) at Friday’s meet with Gig Harbor and Peninsula.

Isabelle Harruff, Gig Harbor girls — Junior won the 100-meter dash (12.70 seconds) at Friday’s meet with Bellarmine Prep.

Savannah Hinton, Silas girls — Junior won the 200-meter dash (25.70 seconds) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Re’Oshla Hutcheson, Mount Tahoma girls — Sophomore won the 100-meter dash with a new personal best (12.78 seconds) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Lily Judie, Central Kitsap girls — Sophomore won the 400-meter run with a new personal best (1:01.17) at Friday’s meet with Bellarmine Prep and Gig Harbor.

Kanai Kennedy, Mount Tahoma boys — Sophomore won the 200-meter dash on his own track with a season-best 22.51 seconds at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Manuela Kouloun, Puyallup girls — Won the 100 meters with a time of 12.73 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Kyung-Ah Lee, Puyallup girls — Won the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 28.33 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Brayden Martinez, Lincoln boys — Junior won the 1,600-meter run with a new personal best (5:00.34) at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Silas Phelps, Stadium boys — Sophomore won the high jump (6-0) with a new personal best at the Tacoma All City meet (Mount Tahoma High School) on Thursday.

Taye Schmidt, Rogers boys — Won the 200 meters with a time of 22.77 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Ja’kayre Stewart, Foss girls — Junior won the high jump (5-2) at the Tacoma All City meet on Thursday.

Martin Tuffour, Rogers boys — Won the 100 meters with a time of 11.23 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Jayden Woodland, Puyallup boys — Won the 400 meters with a time of 52.01 seconds at the Puyallup School Districts Championships on Wednesday.

Anatoliy Yefimov, Gig Harbor boys — Junior won the 400-meter run with a new personal best (54.65 seconds) at Friday’s meet with Bellarmine Prep.
