Vote now for The News Tribune’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week for contests played between May 11-16. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

Brooklyn Alcantara, Federal Way girls — Sophomore won the 200-meter dash (26.89 seconds) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Kyra Anderson, Steilacoom girls — Junior won the discus throw (105-2.5) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Anayiah Ane, Puyallup girls — Junior set a new meet record and personal best, claiming the shot put title (42-1.75) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday. Also won the discus event.

Trinity Backman, Orting girls — Senior won the long jump with a new personal best (17-7.5) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Alexandria Bridges, Steilacoom girls — Junior won the javelin throw (117-5) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Eddie Bruner Jr., Lincoln boys — Senior won the 200-meter dash (21.25 seconds) and 400-meter run (48.16) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Wednesday and Friday.

Romeo Cabansag III, Kentwood boys — Senior won the 100-meter dash (10.95 seconds) and 200-meter dash (22.42) with a pair of personal bests at the 4A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Madison Cocke, Sumner girls — Senior won the 400-meter run with a new personal best (57.60 seconds) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Nicole Dayrit, Auburn Mountainview girls — Senior won the 400-meter run (1:03.11) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Rocsi Dorsey, Franklin Pierce girls — Sophomore won the shot put (36-2.5) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Giovanni Eddinger, Orting boys — Senior won the shot put (50-6) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Izear Ferguson, Sumner boys — Senior won the 100-meter dash (10.69 seconds) and 200-meter dash (21.98) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday and Saturday.

Amin Fidaar, Rogers boys — Took first in the 4A SPSL championship meet in the 800-meter with a state-leading time of 1 minute, 49.82 seconds, which is the 13th fastest time in the country.

Ashley Gallagher, Steilacoom girls — Sophomore won the 1,600-meter run (5:33.93) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Carson Godfrey, Olympia boys — Senior won the shot put (58-7.75) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Amelia Guardipee, Puyallup girls — Junior won the high jump (5-0) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Lillian Haas, Enumclaw girls — Senior won the 1,600-meter run (5:12.29) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Ramon Jones, Lincoln boys — Senior won the 100-meter dash with a new personal best (10.53 seconds) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Wednesday.

Elvis Kariuki, Clover Park boys — Senior won the 100-meter dash (10.91 seconds) and 200-meter dash (22.45) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday and Friday.

Quenton Lanese, Olympia boys — Freshman won the 1,600-meter run (4:10.34) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Violet Lester, Gig Harbor girls — Freshman won the 400-meter run (59.08 seconds) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Wednesday.

Tysen MacDonald, Federal Way boys — Sophomore won the 200-meter dash with a new personal best (22.32 seconds) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Julian Martinez, Washington boys — Senior won the 1,600-meter run (4:37.21) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Austin Messer, Todd Beamer boys — Junior won the 1,600-meter run (4:38.24) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Cole Olson, Enumclaw boys — Senior won the 100-meter dash (10.91 seconds) and 400-meter run (49.85) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Avery Perusich, Steilacoom girls — Senior won the 200-meter dash (26.71 seconds) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Friday.

Micah Preis, Puyallup boys — Won the 4A SPSL championship in the pole vault event and helped his 4x400 relay team to a second-place finish. Also finished sixth in the long jump event.

Jaxon Pyda, Tahoma boys — Senior won the 400-meter run (50.61 seconds) at the 4A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Jarin Ragazzo, Eatonville boys — Sophomore won the javelin throw (161-3) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Jayla Robinson, Federal Way girls — Junior won the 100-meter dash (12.50 seconds) at the 3A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Kamil Ross, Curtis boys — Senior won the 400-meter run with a new personal best (49.39 seconds) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Ania Samya Condry, Mount Tahoma girls — Junior won the 200-meter dash with a new season best (24.76 seconds) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Friday.

Suri Sardinia, Peninsula girls — Senior won the discus throw (130-10) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Wednesday.

Kenzo Seniours, Orting boys — Sophomore won the long jump (19-11.5) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Beatriz Silva Navarro, Bellarmine Prep girls — Junior won the 100-meter dash with a new personal best (12.19 seconds) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Wednesday.

Frankie Skipper, Curtis girls — Senior won the 100-meter dash (12.05 seconds) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Shanelle Soe, Sumner girls — Sophomore won the 200-meter dash with a new personal best (24.94 seconds) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Saturday.

Ian Swaney, Franklin Pierce boys — Junior won the discus throw (143-3) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Paige Washington, Foss girls — Senior won the 100-meter dash (13.16 seconds) at the 2A SPSL championship (Harry Lang Stadium) on Wednesday.

Latham West, Bonney Lake girls — Senior won the 1,600-meter run (4:55.78) at the 4A SPSL championship in Puyallup on Thursday.

Chloe Williams, Kentridge girls — Freshman won the 200-meter dash (25.39 seconds) and 400-meter run (56.03) at the 4A North Puget Sound League championship at Kent-Meridian High School on Wednesday.

Emma Young, Peninsula girls — Senior won the high jump (5-0) at the 3A Puget Sound League championship at North Thurston High School on Wednesday.
