Vote now for The News Tribune’s Golf & Tennis Athlete of the Week for contests played between May 11-16. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Sunday.

Ellie Johnson, Black Hills girls golf — The senior won the 2A District 4 title, winning the tournament by four strokes, shooting 78 and 84 at Riverside Golf Course on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Anya Moravek, Bellarmine Prep girls tennis — Had straight set wins in her two matches on Saturday to secure the 3A District title.

Avery Peterson, Kentwood girls golf — Shot 69 and 72 at the 4A District 3/4 tournament at Meadow Park Golf Course in Tacoma, resulting in medalist honors and leading the Conquerors to the team title and securing a spot for the team at the 4A state championship tournament at Hawks Prairie in Lacey.
