The Kentridge High School boys cross country team came away with a home victory by sharing four of the top five spots in the meet against Spanaway Lake High School on Wednesday.
Spanaway Lake’s Colton Smith finished first with a time of 18 minutes, 14 second, finishing ahead of second place Steven Kassebaum of Kentridge by 1 minute, eight seconds. But Kentridge had a dual-meet low of 21 points to Spanaway Lake’s 38.
Spanaway Lake only had two runners besides Smith who finshed in the top ten.

Kentridge’s Natasha Knipp left the rest of the competition in the dust, finishing well ahead of the rest of the field at 22:07 as the Chargers had nine of the top-10 finishers in a meet victory agianst Spanaway Lake.
Knipp, a senior, completed the race nearly two minutes ahead of sophomore teammate Julia Johns.
Lexus Sparks was the lone top-10 finisher for Spanaway Lake as Kentridge scored 15 points to Spanaway Lake’s 49 in the victory.
The Fife High School boys golf team edged White River 38-37 at Northshore golf course.
Fife’s Max Dorn earned medalist honors, shooting 6-over-par 40.
Lexi Dechon earned medalist honors with an even 43, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Enumclaw High School girls golf team in a 63-53 loss to Sumner.
