Prep volleyball roundup: White River shocks Sumner with three-set rally in 3-2 victory

After losing the first two sets, Kelsey Williams and the rest of the White River High School volleyball team rallied back to stun Sumner, 22-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-13, on Thursday.

Williams led the White River comeback with 16 digs and 11 kills on the night, and Kegan Stroebeck had three blocks and Mahaea Stone had 41 assists.

Sumner was led by Heather Thompson with 13 kills and Georgia Hinds added 30 assists

Bellarmine Prep 3, South Kitsap 0: Hannah Pukis had 22 assists and Megan Jacobsen recorded 12 kills as the Lions cruised to a 25-16, 25-6, 25-10 victory.

Clair McCarthy had 10 diggs, McKenzie Sxhwan two blocks and Jenna Downing five aces for the three-time defending 4A state champion Bellarmine Prep.

Curtis 3, Rogers 0: Cameryn Buell had 15 kills and 13 digs as the Vikings held off the Rams for the 25-16, 25-13, 26-24 victory.

Hannah Burkhart led Rogers with 16 kills and three blocks, Ally Sweet added 16 digs and Maddy Clark 18 assists.

Emerald Ridge 3, Puyallup 0: Jadyn Mullen had 33 assists, 11 digs and six aces for the Jaguars in the 25-15, 25-17, 25-12 win.

Makenna Smith added 13 kills, Kava Durr had nine kills and four blocks, Ashley Wesenberg had five kills and three blocks and Allie Bauer had 15 digs.

Makenna Winter had nine digs for Puyallup.
