Prep cross country: Charles Wright takes second in 1A Nisqually boys meet; Vashon girls first

Bellevue Christian High School and Charles Wright Academy took first and second respectively in the 1A Nisqually League boys cross country meet Tuesday with 31 points to Charles Wright’s 37.

Junior Craig Lambert carried the Vikings to victory, finishing the race in 18 minutes, 9 seconds, with sophomore teammate Jared Donnel crossing one second behind him.

Charles Wright’s Adam Berg took third at 19:16 and freshman teammate Eric Jones was fourth at 19:17.

Bellevue Christian senior Scott Graves finished fifth at 19:24.

Rounding out the top four was Seattle Christian with 76 and Vashon Island with 78.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Vashon Island High School took the girls 1A Nisqually League girls cross country meet with four runners finishing in the top five.

Seattle Christian's Rachelle Mayes took first 22 minutes, 32 seconds.

The next four finishers were all for the Pirates as Lucy Boyle finished at 22:41, Selena Mildon at 22:48, Eva Anderson at 22:49 and Aria Mildon at22:50.

Charles Wright Academy finished with 41 points and Bellevue Christian with 62.
