The Gig Harbor High School and Curtis High School boys tennis teams traded wins in the first four sets played at Curtis on Wednesday.

Gig Harbor’s Mason Jarvis won the top singles match, 7-5, 6-4, over Curtis’ Jonathan Carlson, but Curtis’ Michael Melhmen won the No. 2 singles match, 6-1, 6-0.

White River 3, Clover Park 2: Jarrick Pulido and Arturo Vega won the No. 1 and 2 singles matches for the Warriors respectively, before the Hornets came back to sweep all three doubles matches and take the victory.

Fife 5, Steilacoom 0: Setting the tone for a Trojans victory, Cheyenne Rocamora took the no. 1 singles match 7-5, 2-6, 10-7 over the Sentinels' Leon Wan.

BOYS WATER POLO

Gig Harbor High School proved to be too much for Wilson High School in the pool for a boys water polo victory on Wednesday.

Winning 17-9, the Tides were fueled by multiple goals from Taylor Costin with four, Dawson Allen with three, and Dominic Betts, Clay Curtis, Nathan Sawyer and Rider Church all scoring two.
