Prep roundup: Bonney Lake’s Curtis Kolterman top golfer for 4th consecutive match

Curtis Koltermann won his fourth straight medalist distinction as the Bonney Lake High School boys golf team defeated Peninsula, 66-51, on Thursday at High Cedars Golf Course in Orting.

Koltermann shot an even-par 36 to help lift the Panthers to victory.

Enumclaw 92, Auburn 54: The Hornets won at Enumclaw Golf Course behind a 4-under 31 performance from Jared Beals.

Jefferson 74, Curtis 60: Sean Vaovasa shot a 2-under 33 to lift the Raiders to the victory over the Vikings.

Washington 29, River Ridge 13: Patriots' golfer Reis Carter took home medalist honors after shooting a 13-over 49 in the 2A SPSL victory over the Hawks.

GIRLS GOLF

Emma Johnson shot a very good round for the Bethel High School girls golf team at the Classic on Thursday that earned her medalist honors.

The Brave turned in a 2-under-par 35 against Puyallup, helping her team win 57-39 in a matchup of 4A South Puget Sound League South Schools.

Sumner 57, Lakes 28: The Lancers' Lila Ridge earned her third medalist distinction on the season with a 7-over-par 42 round against the Spartans, though Sumner came away with the convincing victory.

BOYS TENNIS

The Capital High School boys tennis team sailed to a 4-1 victory at its home court over visiting Lincoln on Thursday.

The Abes' lone win came in the No. 1 singles match, with Carson Jones beating Andre Campeau 6-2, 6-0.

Capital’s Spencer Rex followed with a victory in the No. 2 singles match and the Cougars swept in doubles play.

BOYS WATER POLO

A tight match in the pool between the Auburn High School boys water polo team and Enumclaw saw a close finish as the Trojans edged out the Hornets 10-8 on Thursday.

Ben Schwab and John Dillandry combined scored nine Trojan goals, while Evan O'Neill and Nathan March combined for seven.

Auburn Riverside 16, Kentwood 12: Daniel Godfrey led the Raves in scoring with five goals.

Puyallup 20, Rogers 13: The Vikings were led by Christian Braddock, scoring eight goals along the way.
