Prep cross country: Laithan Bryant’s first place lifts Fife boys against Steilacoom
Laithan Bryant of the Fife High School boys cross country team won in a meet against Steilacoom on Friday.
Bryant finished in 18 minutes, 33 seconds. Teammate Axel Mejia was right behind him at 18:34.
Steilacoom’s Samuel Matcalfe also finished in 18:34.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
The Steilacoom High School girls cross country team ran away with the victory in their meet against Fife High School on Friday.
Coming in first was Alexandra Potter, finishing the race with a time of 21 minutes, 37 seconds for the Sentinels, who took each of the top eight spots. Isabell Zimmerman was second in 21:39, Emma Fortmann was third in 22:46 and Olivia Lougee was fifth in 22:55.
Maddison Ruther was Fife’s top runner, finishing in 23:09.
