Prep roundup: Kelsey Lund scores game-winning goal for Bonney Lake in 1-0 win over Auburn Mountainview

Kelsey Lund was ready to end it.

She scored the game-winning goal in the 74th minute to lift the Bonney Lake High School girls soccer team to a 1-0 victory against Auburn Mountainview on Friday and keep the Panthers unbeaten after three matches.

It was Lund’s fifth goal of the season after opening the season with three against Peninsula.

Goalkeepers Sydney Bennett and Kendall Slattery shared the shutout for Bonney Lake (3-0-0; 2-0-0 3A SPSL).

VOLLEYBALL

Charles Wright Academy earned the road victory behind a strong performance from Abbie Jackson on Friday.

Jackson led the Tarriers with 25 kills to defeat Black Hills 25-18, 25-7, 22-25, 25-18.

Savannah Vaughan added eight blocks and Lauren Meadowcroft had 27 assists.

Emma Duff led Black Hills with five kills and five blocks.

Curtis 3, Spanaway Lake 0: The Vikings sailed to victory behind Camryn Buell's and Elly McEachern's 13 kill performances over the Sentinels.

Curtis won the first set 25-7 and cruised from there, taking the next two 25-13, 25-11.

Spanaway lake’s Malani Acido-Pastor had 13 digs.

Curtis improved to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the 4A SPSL South.
