Prep roundup: Sumner boys tennis rolls past Auburn Mountainview, 4-1

BOYS TENNIS

Sumner High School's Zaylan Jacobsen and Dashawm Moore did not give up a single game in both of their won matches against Auburn Mountainview High School.

With Jacobsen and Moore setting the tone, the Spartans earned the home victory 4-1 over the Lions.

Auburn 3, Bonney Lake 2: Bryan Thornquist led the Trojans to a close home victory over the Panthers by not losing a single game.

Washington 5, Steilacoom 0: The Patriots' Janrick Roces and Troung Nguyen helped lift the team for the win over the Sentinels.

Auburn Riverside 5, Lakes 0: Colby and Adrian Tong only game up one game between them as the Ravens defeated the Lancers.

Stadium 5, Puyallup 0: The Tigers won all five sets in a match for the sixth time this season as the tandem of Tyler Murphy and Rylan Neill sealed the victory in the No. 3 doubles match 6-1, 6-3.

BOYS GOLF

Brooks Balmer of the Puyallup High School boys golf team won his third medalist honor of the season in the 64-29 defeat of Bethel High School on Friday.

Balmer turned in a 2-under-par 34 at High Cedars Golf Course to lead the Vikings over the Braves.
