CLASS 4A STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

2014 champion: Central Valley Bears

6 p.m.: Gonzaga Prep (17-3-0) vs. West Valley of Yakima (17-0-1)
8 p.m.: Camas (19-1-1) vs. Issaquah (15-2-2)
Saturday’s schedule
Championship will start at 4 p.m., with the third-place match at noon.
About Gonzaga Prep: The Bullpups, after a shaky start to the season, are riding a 16-game winning streak. They are doing it with offense, averaging three goals per match.
About West Valley of Yakima: The Rams are winning with defense, entering the semifinals having not allowed a goal in the past 418 minutes. Three of their defenders — Alyssa Barden, Lauryn Peters and Anna Hager — were first-team all-league selections.
About Camas: The Papermakers, who won a state title in 2005, advanced to the semis thanks to a two-goal effort from Sarah Yang in a win over Skyline. After missing the playoffs last year, coach Roland Minder said his team really came together over the course of this season. “They believe in and trust one another,” he said. “Everyone has been and is working hard. Our young women look forward to this tremendous challenge.”
About Issaquah: The Eagles, led by coach Tom Bunnell, are making their 11th postseason trip out of the past 12 years. Issaquah won state titles in 2004, ’06 and ’07.
CLASS 3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

2 p.m.: Southridge (19-2) vs. Arlington (17-4)
4 p.m.: Edmonds-Woodway (18-1-2) vs. Seattle Prep (20-0-1)

Championship will start at 2 p.m., with the third-place match at 10 a.m.
About Southridge: The Suns escaped their quarterfinals game vs. Holy Names when Emily Russell scored her first goal of the season in the last minute. Southridge is without one of its top players, Eastern-bound senior McKaley Goffard, who tore her ACL. She had scored eight postseason goals before the injury.
About Arlington: Senior midfielder Olivia Larson makes the Eagles offense go with 14 goals and seven assists. The defense is anchored by senior goalie Kat Sanchez, who has registered 12 shutouts.
About Edmonds-Woodway: The Warriors look to win their second straight 3A title behind goalie Hannah Hicks and Gabby Clark. Hicks was an all-Wesco selection, one of six players on the team to be honored. Clark, normally a midfielder, has been moved to forward during the postseason in order to create more scoring chances.
About Seattle Prep: Undefeated and top-ranked in the division, the Cougars were ranked as high as 23rd by USA Today this season. The Cougars last won a state title in 2011. In the postseason, they’ve outscored their opponents 5-1.
CLASS 2A STATE CHAMPIONSHPS

6 p.m.: Ridgefield (17-2-2) vs. Ellensburg (19-1-1)
8 p.m.: Liberty of Issaquah (14-3-2) vs. Squalicum (22-0)

Championship will start at 4 p.m., with the third-place match at noon
The skinny: Undefeated Squalicum, last year’s champs, have outscored their opponents 9-0 in two playoff wins. ... Ridgefield has not given up a goal in their two state tournament games, beating Fife 7-0 and Shorecrest 2-0. ... Liberty of Issaquah advanced to the semis after beating Burlington-Edison, 4-1, in the quarterfinals thanks to senior forward Katelyn Godfrey’s two goals. This is Ellensburg’s first trip to the final four, which they earned by beating East Valley Spokane last week 3-1.

Championship will start at 2 p.m., with the third-place match at 10 a.m.
The skinny: Kings, which lost to Klahowya in the finals last year, returns seven seniors from that squad. … Seattle Christian, which has made the 1A state playoffs in four consecutive seasons, is making its first trip to the finals since 2012. Abi Kim leads the team with 38 goals. … Connell broke into the final four after exiting the state tournament in the first round in each of the past three years. ... Cascade earned its first trip to the semifinals in school history.
CLASS 2B/1B STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

2 p.m.: Adna (18-0) vs. Okanogan (17-3)
4 p.m.: Crosspoint Academy (12-7) vs. La Conner (16-2)

Championship will start at 2 p.m., with the third-place match at 10 a.m.
The skinny: Adna is making its third consecutive trip to the final four. Junior forward Devanie Kleemeyer is on a roll, having scored four of the team’s five goals. ... During the regular season, Okanogan posted 10 shutouts and walloped Warden, 6-2, to reach the semis. ... Defending state champion Crosspoint, despite seven losses, fought their way back into the final four by going 8-0 in league. ... LaConner relies on its defense after emerging form the strong Northwest League. They beat Ocosta, 2-1, to reach the semis.
