Mariners option 4 players to Triple-A Tacoma

Though baseball is on hiatus until further notice as clubs join in the effort to slow the coronavirus outbreak, the Seattle Mariners continued to shuffle their roster Friday for when play eventually resumes.

Four players — right-handed relievers Zac Grotz and Taylor Williams and infielders Donovan Walton and Patrick Wisdom — have been optioned to Triple-A Tacoma, leaving Seattle’s spring training roster at 45 players.

The four are the latest to join the Rainiers eventual roster. Outfielder Braden Bishop, left-hander Nick Margevicius and right-hander Art Warren were optioned to Tacoma earlier this month.
