Another number 3: Russell Wilson, Ciara announce they are expecting their third child

Either Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara want you to know they are expecting another child, or the Seahawks quarterback REALLY wants us to see his jersey number hanging from beneath those prodigious shades.

We’ll go with the baby announcement.

Wilson and Ciara—in the back of the photo he posted online Thursday, at a side profile outlining she’s quite pregnant—announced they are expecting child number three.

They have a toddler daughter, Sienna, and a son who is three years older, Future Zahir Wilburn, from Ciara’s previous relationship with rapper Future.

Soon after Sienna was born in 2017, Wilson talked about fatherhood and the impact it’s had on his life.

“When you see a baby, like life, it’s a pretty cool miracle. And so, Ciara and I are very grateful,” he said in June 2017.

“You’ve been at work since 5:30 in the morning, you come home midday and there’s something different. It’s a really cool experience. ...

“I think more than anything when you see family, have your own family and it continues to grow, you know it’s a special thing. I don’t just play for my family I’ve had before, but also my new family. Just playing for the little ones, playing for Ciara, too, and just playing for my teammates and trying to do everything I can to be the very best I can possibly be.

“I’m just truly grateful every day to get to come home and it puts a smile on my face every time.”

The 31-year-old Wilson and Ciara got married in the summer of 2016, in an idyllic setting at a castle in the English countryside.

Their two kids are regulars around Seahawks training camp each summer, playing on the sidelines along Lake Washington during practices.

By the time the 2020 NFL season begins, Wilson will have an all-new appreciation for the number three. He and his wife are about to be outnumbered around the house.
