The Seahawks have set their schedule of preseason games for this summer.

A year after playing two of three exhibition games on the road, Seattle will play two of the three at home. The Minnesota Vikings will play at Lumen Field Thursday, Aug. 10. The Dallas Cowboys will play the Seahawks in Seattle for the second preseason game Saturday, Aug. 19.

Both of Seattle’s home preseason games will kick off at 7 p.m.

The Green Bay Packers had announced last week their home preseason game with the Seahawks will be Saturday, Aug. 26. Game time for the preseason finale is 10 a.m. Seattle time.

All preseason games will be televised live locally by KING 5 and broadcast live on the radio on KIRO 710 AM and 97.3 FM in Seattle.

In 2021 the NFL competition committee voted to decrease preseason games from four to three, in exchange for adding a 17th game to the regular season.

The Aug. 10 first preseason game means the Seahawks are likely to begin training camp on or about July 26. The NFL’s collective bargaining agreement stipulates teams can have veteran players begin training camp no earlier than 15 days before the first preseason game.

The regular season begins for Seattle Sept. 10. The Seahawks host the Los Angeles Rams that day at Lumen Field.
