Former Seattle Sounders midfielder Micheal Azira was the only player selected Wednesday in the Major League Soccer waiver draft.
Azira was selected by the Colorado Rapids with the second pick.
Azira, 28, joined the Sounders in 2014 after two seasons with the USL Charleston Battery. In his two seasons in Seattle, he appeared in 25 games, mostly as the backup for Osvaldo Alonso. However, he lost that job in the second half of the 2015 season and the club chose not to pick up his contract last week.
The Sounders passed on using their No. 15 pick in the waiver draft.
