Tweeted it this morning that Justin Smoak was being activated from the disabled list and that Alex Liddi was being optioned to Triple A Tacoma. We saw Liddi saying his goodbyes last night postgame. The Mariners made the roster move official about an hour after Smoak arrived in Anaheim from Sacramento where he is with the team.
The Seattle Mariners activated first baseman Justin Smoak from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.
ANAHEIM, Calif. — The education of Mike Zunino didn’t stop the day the Seattle Mariners named him their starting catcher. If anything, it intensified.
The pummeling continued for the Seattle Mariners, but at least the showers werent leaking sewage in 47-year-old Angels stadium. Still, the 11-3 loss the Mariners endured against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night was just as big a stinker as Oakland Coliseum’s sewage system.

After too many horror stories this season concluded with the Seattle Mariners as primary victims, Saturday’s game for once gave them a happy ending.
OAKLAND — At first glance, the latest roster move by the Seattle Mariners might seem the most peculiar of their slew of transactions the past week.
Seattle Mariners reliever Oliver Perez survived a two-out, ninth-inning single in place of closer Tom Wilhelsmen to preserve a 3-2 win Friday over the Oakland Athletics.
Joe Saunders spun seven strong innings to guide the Seattle Mariners past the Oakland Athletics, 3-2, in the opener of a three-game set at The Coliseum.
The Mariners made a roster move while I was standing in Oakland Airport Rental Car Center also known as the third circle of Hades.
