Somebody’s Sunday evening took on water quickly.

A boater driving their truck at the American Lake boat launch on Sunday evening ended up with their truck submerged in the lake, according to Lakewood police.

The truck was left in the lake overnight because darkness made recovery more challenging, the department said in a Facebook post.

Lakewood police divers assisted recovery crews getting the truck out of the lake Monday.

No one was injured.
