Driver killed after crashing into fence, mailboxes in Pierce County is identified

A man who died Tuesday after his truck hit a fence and several mailboxes in Pierce County has been identified.

Michael Arnot, 50, of Puyallup, was driving about 4 a.m. when he suffered a medical emergency and lost control of his vehicle, authorities said.

The truck struck mailboxes and a fence at Canyon Road and 103rd Street East.

Arnot was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he died.

It was a natural death due to heart disease, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
