Key Peninsula-area fire burns 5 to 10 acres
Firefighters responded about 6 p.m. Sunday to a large brush fire that threatened homes in the Key Peninsula area, near 118th Avenue Northwest and 146th Street Kpn just west of Purdy.
The blaze quickly spread, reaching between 5 and 10 acres, but was knocked down and contained on two sides about 7:20 p.m., according to Key Peninsula Fire and Gig Harbor Fire.
