RV fire temporarily closes portions of Sprague Avenue in Tacoma

Sprague Avenue is temporarily shut down as firefighters respond to a fire at South 15th Street and South Sprague on Thursday morning, the Tacoma Fire Department posted on X.

According to the post, the fire was first reported at 11:08 a.m.

Firefighters contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby houses, TFD spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd said.

Sprague is blocked from the 19th Street intersection extending northward. The road should open within the next 30 minutes as firefighters clear their equipment, Shepherd shared at 11:39 a.m.

There were no injuries. Officials encourage the public to avoid the area.
