Man found dead in Tacoma’s Wright Park
A man was found dead Sunday morning at Wright Park in Tacoma.
The Tacoma Fire Department responded shortly after 10 a.m. to the park after a report of a man down. When they arrived, crews discovered the man was dead.
Tacoma police were called to investigate.
Preliminary information suggests the man was not the victim of a crime, Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said. An autopsy will determine the cause and manner of the man’s death.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office hadn’t performed an autopsy by Monday morning, but estimated one would be done by the afternoon or Tuesday.
The man appeared to be in his 50s or 60s. His identity has not been released.
