Cheers and Jeers, Sept. 16
Cheers to the drivers who look behind them when backing out of a parking space. This practice prevents injuries to pedestrians and damage to property.
Jeers to big bank credit card companies who say that they cannot figure out the phone number or location of Gig Harbor vendors who publicly operate under one name, but whose line entry on credit card statements appears as another. The only way to confirm the common name or location of the business is to contest the charge.
Cheers to Gig Harbor Audio for hosting a free concert featuring Rokkerbox and promoting a FISH Food Bank donation drive last Thursday night. Your community spirit is uplifting. Great show, great cause. Looking forward to more of your events.
Jeers to those who won’t give Haggen another chance.
Cheers to Haggen for lowering prices, having the best romaine of competing stores, excellent meat and carrying unusual products like latex free dishwashing gloves. Democracy was built on competition. Where will we all be if Haggen closes and we are left with only one store?
