Olympia man arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, deputies say
A 32-year-old Olympia man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect is accused of shooting and killing Shaddie Graham, 32, of Spanaway on Sept. 29 on a wooded trail near Guerin Park. Graham was found dead at about 4 p.m. that day with gunshot wounds.
The Olympia man was identified and booked into Thurston County Jail on Oct. 2 for a probation violation.
Upon investigation, the Sheriff’s Office found probable cause to book the suspect Tuesday for first-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree, trafficking stolen property in the first degree and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The suspect was booked for first-degree murder Thursday, after ballistics results returned from the Washington State Patrol’s crime lab confirmed details of the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
