Mentally disabled Gig Harbor-area teenager found in Seattle

UPDATE as of 9:20 p.m. Seattle police found Tony Lique Thursday night at a location of the Seattle Union Gospel Mission, Troyer said. They were taking him to be reunited with his family, and to get checked out at a hospital, Troyer said.

INITIAL POST: A mentally disabled Gig Harbor-area teenager is missing, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

Tony James Lique, 18, went missing 2 p.m. Wednesday, last seen on Pierce Transit bus 100 headed from Purdy to Tacoma, possibly on his way to the Tacoma Dome.

He said he wanted to visit the Pacific Science Center or the Seattle Aquarium, and may have been seen on a bus headed north to Seattle.

The only money he has is for his school lunch, and he may approach strangers to ask for cash, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

Lique has the mental capacity of about a 10-year-old, Troyer said.

He’s described as 5 feet 8 and 130 pounds.

Anyone who sees Lique is asked to call police.
