Cross-dresser accused of exposing himself on Buckley road
There’s no disputing the cross-dressing man was standing on a Buckley road in a woman’s thong, high-heeled boots and dress shirt.
The 49-year-old Sumner man later insisted he got out of the car to urinate at Mundy Loss Road East and Pioneer Way East but no one saw him.
A mother driving by with her three children disagreed and called the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. A deputy responding to the call spotted the man driving in the area and pulled him over.
The man said he liked to cross-dress when he’s stressed and took an afternoon drive Wednesday to Carbonado, stopping about 4 p.m. only to urinate, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said Friday.
He denied flashing anyone or exposing himself.
The mother who reported him said her 10-year-old daughter noticed the man on the side of the road was not wearing pants and believed two school buses passed by while he was there.
Deputies checked with the White River School District. None of the bus drivers filed a complaint.
The man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.
