Couple fatally shot at house near Fife identified
A man and a woman were found shot to death Thursday in the Pierce County house where they lived, outside of Fife, and investigators have arrested a 22-year-old man.
The two victims were found after their friends went to the house in the 1000 block of 66th Avenue East about 5 p.m. and became worried when nobody answered the door.
The friends looked in a window, saw the bodies and called 911.
Autopsies were scheduled for the victims, who have been identified as 22-year-old Charissa Dobbins and 23-year-old Daniel Miller.
A motive has not been determined.
The 22-year-old suspect was booked into jail Friday.
“The two males had an ongoing beef with each other,” sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said. “We believe the suspect shot them both. The girl was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Troyer said detectives found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the house, which did not belong to Miller or Dobbins. The couple was reportedly squatting there.
The two became engaged this year, their Facebook pages indicate.
