Man fatally shot in Tacoma identified

Tacoma police on Monday were investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man.

The killing was the first homicide in the city this year.

Several people called 911 about 3:30 a.m. to report hearing gunshots near Brown’s Point Boulevard and McMurray Road.

When officers arrived, they found Dylan Oman in the intersection, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Oman was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

No details about the shooting were released and no arrest had been made.
