Police: Man found dead in stairwell of Renton apartment building

A 24-year-old Tukwila man was found dead Saturday in the stairwell of a Renton apartment complex with an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

A news release from Renton Police gave this account:

Officers responded about 2:30 p.m. to a suspicious incident report in the 400 block of Bremerton Avenue Northeast.

A resident at the apartment complex reported an unresponsive male lying at the bottom of a stairwell.

Officers located the deceased man and determined a gunshot wound to be the likely cause of death.
