Medical examiner IDs man killed in Puyallup motel shooting
Pierce County medical examiners have identified the man fatally shot Friday morning at a Puyallup motel as Lucas Gritzke, 25, of Federal Way.
After a 911 call saying a man had been shot, Gritzke had been found by police with a gunshot wound in his chest at a motel in the 1400 block of South Meridian about 5 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Puyallup police said the suspect fled, but he returned to the motel while police were investigating. The 25-year-old is being held in Pierce County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder.
A Saturday news release said the shooting was “likely related to narcotics.”
