Onalaska dominates Winlock to join crowded two-win group

Fueled by their five-through-nine hitters all reaching base and crossing home plate, the Loggers took control of Thursday's C2BL contest versus the Cardinals and posted a 21-3 triumph on the road.

It puts Onalaska (7-4, 2-2 C2BL) in a cluster with four other teams all with two league victories. The 21 runs makes it the second time in the span of a week the offense erupted once again. The Loggers scored nine in the first, seven in the second and five in the third.

They batted around each inning and in the circle, Chloe Haag recorded four strikeouts. Gracin Vickers, Abby Ellis, Jaelyn Auman, Kaiyah Sandridge and Haag all scored a combined 14 runs with Ellis driving in three runs.

Winlock (1-9, 0-3) suffered their fourth loss in a row, but plated runs since league play commenced. Aliyah Husser roped a double and scored while Kylee Forler and Abby Goodrich also scored in the third inning.

The Loggers returned to action on Friday versus Rainier while Winlock takes on Napavine on Monday.
