The Rochester softball team dropped a home league matchup on Thursday, losing to Hoquiam 8-1.

The Warriors scored their lone run in the fourth inning, when Josie Nygard brought home Charlie Culp with an RBI groundout.

That brought the Warriors within one at 2-1, but the Grizzlies scored six runs across the fifth and sixth innings to put the game out of reach.

Rochester (1-12, 0-5 1A Evergreen) will head to Elma on Monday.
