Simone Biles Boycotting Events After $22,000 Red Carpet Bill

Unless someone gives Simone Biles of some cheaper stylists, it's likely that we won't be seeing her at any red carpet events any time soon.

In a recent video on TikTok, Biles complained about the extraordinary bill that she received for the hair, makeup and style teams she had to hire for a recent event. All tallied up, the total came out to $22,000, which upset her considerably.

"My grand total, any guesses? I'll wait. Probably higher than what you're thinking. Keep going," Biles said before revealing just how much it cost. "I just need to know if this is normal."

Biles then pledged to never attend a red carpet event again due to how expensive it's becoming to look good at one.

"If that's the new norm, y'all can have it. Y'all will never see me at another event," Biles declared. "I see a lot of y'all at events and there's no way you guys are paying these prices each and every time because some of y'all be outside for real. But there's just no way."

"I just need to know if this is normal. That's really it. Because if it is, I'm staying inside."

Normal?

Unfortunately for Biles, the fact of the matter is that the higher prices of stylists and other similar services is going up. Mikaela Shiffrin commented on what Biles said, lamenting that she's had the same experience.

Fans on social media had some other suggestions on how Biles can reduce the price tag on looking her best (if she even needs to):

"We (average women) have been complaining about the rising costs for hair, makeup, nails for years now. Now that rich people have entered the conversation, it is confirmed our concerns are valid," one user on X declared.

"She can have a friend do her hair and makeup and it will look just as nice. She is beautiful," wrote another.

"All she had to do was watch a TikTok video and do that makeup herself," a third wrote.

"No one is forcing her or anyone else to do all this. She could rent a dress & do her own hair & makeup."

We'll probably see Biles back on the red carpet eventually. There's plenty of ways to get that price down.
