Lawrence Taylor Released From Hospital After 10 Days

Legendary NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor is out of the hospital following a 10-plus day stay.

Taylor, arguably the greatest defensive player in NFL history, was admitted to the hospital in New Jersey in late April. He was admitted on April 23 or April 24. Multiple reports later indicated that he was being treated for pancreatitis.

Pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas, can be deadly if not treated. Taylor, a Hall of Fame pass rusher, was initially taken to the emergency room, before being transferred to a different floor.

"Lawrence Taylor remains in the hospital as he receives treatment for pancreatitis, multiple sources tell TMZ Sports ... but the good news is the Hall of Famer is showing signs of improvement every day," TMZ Sports reported.

"We broke the story -- the 67-year-old New York Giants legend was taken to the emergency room at a New Jersey medical facility last week before being transferred to a different floor."
