Lindsey Vonn Sparks Dating Rumors With French Skier Months After Olympic Injury

American skier Lindsey Vonn didn't have the storybook ending she was hoping for at 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.

The 41-year-old suffered a broken leg that required multiple surgeries over multiple weeks after crashing during the downhill event.

Vonn, a three-time Olympic medalist (one gold), has been recovering from her career-threatening injuries ever since coming back stateside, but it seems she may not be going through her rehabilitation alone. According to a report from People.com, Vonn has been romantically linked to 30-year-old French skier Matthieu Bailet.

"They’re getting to know each other," an anonymous source told People, stating the couple had been spotted shopping together in Soho before posing for a photo together backstage at "The Outsiders" musical.

Vonn also turned some heads with what she posted in response to a shirtless photo Bailet posted on his Instagram account.

"👀," she replied in the comment section.

Given the comments Vonn, an eight-time World Championship medalist (two gold, three silver, three bronze), made during the Olympics about how difficult it is to find a partner who understood the rigors of her lifestyle and career, it's understandable why she would want to date another skier.

"It’s hard to have thick enough skin to not combat everyone that wants to tell you what to do, or how to do it, or tell you that you should have done something differently when there’s maybe five people in the world that even understand the pressure that I was under," she disclosed.

Though not as accomplished as Vonn is, Bailet is a decorated skier in his own right, boasting a gold medal in the 2016 Junior Worl Championships in addition to 11 World Cup appearances, two World Championships appearances, and one Olympics appearance.

Bailet is the latest high-profile athlete Vonn has been romantically linked to over the years. Her past relationships include Diego Osorio, an actor and liquor company founder. She and Osorio split in February 2025 after dating for several years.

Vonn has also dated Tiger Woods, former NHL All-Star defenseman P.K. Subban, former Los Angeles Rams coach Kenan Smith, and she was married to skier Thomas Vonn for four years.
