Boys Soccer

R.A. Long def. Aberdeen, 1-0

- 25th minute: Andres Orozco from 30 yards out

- Landon Irwin - 7 saves

R.A. Long coach Max Anderson: "Special victory for a number of reasons; we play at Ridgefield Saturday for the final District 4 state berth. Also, we finally showed the discipline and grit necessary to get the result against a strong opponent.

The three Orozco cousins - Beiro, Andres, and Will Alvarez - did a great job winning, or at least contesting, their challenges in the midfield, forcing Aberdeen to play long. Alex Wooden, Ethan Pittsley, Alexis Soto, and Sixto Soto held strong in the back."
