Caitlin Clark's True Feelings on WNBA Pressure
Ever since her arrival in 2024 as the Indiana Fever's No. 1 pick, Caitlin Clark has brought more eyes to the WNBA and helped elevate the league. Indiana games were sold out and the team set multiple viewership and attendance records in her rookie year alone.
Three seasons later, Clark remains the most popular player in the WNBA. She has also lived up to the hype surrounding her, becoming a two-time All-Star in the process. This 2026 season, the star playmaker is averaging 24.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 9.0 assists 1.0 steal and 1.0 block per game.
While Clark has handled her popularity really well, it hasn't been easy for her. In fact, she admitted in her appearance on the "Post Moves" podcast that being in the spotlight and the pressure that comes with it have been incredibly taxing.
"I feel like a lot of people don't probably understand like how taxing a lot of the pressure in the spotlight can be at sometimes," Clark told Fever teammate Aliyah Boston and WNBA legend Candace Parker, who both host the podcast.
Clark, however, is embracing the pressure, emphasizing that she "would never change that for anything."

Expectations are high for Clark and the Fever this 2026 season. Indiana made it all the way to the WNBA semifinals last campaign even without the injured Clark, so now that she's healthy, fans are optimistic that she can take the team to the next level.
While it's a lot of pressure for Clark, she's clearly not going to back down.
