Tiger Woods Praises 'Greatest Country On Earth' On Memorial Day

Tiger Woods might be spending Memorial Day Weekend out of the country, but the legendary PGA Tour star is still praising the United States of America in a big way on Memorial Day.

The 15-time major champion took to his social media accounts on Monday, May 25 to celebrate Memorial Day, which honors all of those who sacrificed to make the United States of America a free land.

Woods praised the United States, calling it the "greatest" country in the world.

"My father was a Special Forces operator with two tours in Vietnam and 20 years of service. To all those like my father, we all say thank you for your sacrifices. Without them we wouldn't have the greatest country on Earth," he wrote.

Woods has often been extremely praising of the U.S. military, even at one point training with the Special Forces during the middle of his golf career.

U.S. military personnel are appreciative of Woods' message.

Woods praised for Memorial Day message

Woods is getting a lot of praise for his message.

"Us Veterans appreciate that Tiger. Thank you. 🙏🏼," one wrote.

"Thank you Tiger. Wishing you and family a wonderful holiday," one shared.

"Salute to all soldiers who protects us🙏," one shared.

"Thank you for saying that, Tiger," one added.

Woods, who was arrested for DUI in Florida in late March, reportedly headed overseas, to continue to receive treatment. It's unclear what Woods' future holds, especially in the golf world, but it sounds like he's trying to get the help he needs following his off-the-course issues.

It sounds like he's honoring Memorial Day in proper fashion on Monday.
