Raptors Recap (June 11): Yakima Valley 13, Ridgefield 1

Highlights ­- Not many for the home Raptors as they were held to three hits, while Yakima pounded out 16 hits to end Ridgefield's win streak at five games and avoid a West Coast League series sweep.

At the plate - Jackson Weber (Arizona State) accounted for the Raptors' lone run by leading off the second inning with his first home run of the summer. ... Yakima shortstop Derek Almeda (Fresno State) went 4 for 6 with a run-scoring single.

On the mound - Of Yakima Valley's 13 runs, five Ridgefield pitchers were charged a combined 11 earn runs. The Raptors also issued 10 walks. ... Pippins starter Bodie Ramsey (Chandler-Gilbert CC, Ariz.) went seven innings, giving up three hits including the HR to Weber and walked one while striking out six.

Next up - The Raptors (8-4) will play their next six games on the road, but not far. They have a three-game series with the Marion Berries starting Friday at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Ore., and then the Raptors take on the Portland Pickles for three games beginning Tuesday at Walker Stadium. ... The next home series is June 19-21 against the Walla Walla Sweets.
