Angel Reese Hilariously Responds to Former Teammate's 'Jealous' Comment
Angel Reese posted a new TikTok video on Friday which received a lot of reactions. One of them was from her former Chicago Sky teammate, Toronto Tempo guard Marina Mabrey, who said she was "jealous" of Reese's new Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The Atlanta Dream forward made a hilarious comment in response.
They were teammates with the Sky during Reese's rookie season. The two formed a strong bond on and off the court, which has continued despite now playing for different teams.
The Connecticut Sun traded for Mabrey in a four-team deal in July 2024. She was then selected by the Tempo at No. 6 in this offseason's expansion draft. The Sky, on the other hand, surprised many by moving the two-time All-Star center in April.
In her comment on Reese's post, Mabrey wrote, "Ok yeah I'm officially jealous I want that car." Reese added a savage reply ahead of Toronto visiting Atlanta on Monday.
"i'll pick you up after the dub on Monday," Reese wrote.

Reese has proven that she has already adjusted to a new system and teammates. The Dream leads the Eastern Conference with an 11-4 record, including three consecutive wins and two against the Indiana Fever. The LSU product averages 15.2 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Mabrey and the Tempo sit ninth in the league with an 8-8 record. They have experienced an up-and-down season so far, but they remain in contention for a playoff spot in their maiden WNBA campaign. Toronto also has a favorable schedule ahead, with a nine-game homestand following the Atlanta game.
